Carmelite Nursing Homes

Throughout SALT's existence, participants have volunteered at multiple sites.  The first SALT Program was held at Marian Manor, South Boston, MA.  During 2015, our young women traveled to Carmel Richmond in Staten Island, NY and the following year to Carmel Richmond in Staten Island and Teresian House, in Albany, NY.

In 2017, the SALT Program expanded and went international.  The first group of young women served elders at the Teresian House, Albany, NY and Mother Angeline McCrory Manor in Columbus, OH. The following group traveled to Our Lady's Manor in Dublin, Ireland. In 2018, SALT participants attended the World Meeting of Families in Dublin, Ireland and volunteered at Mother Angeline McCrory Manor in Columbus, OH. In 2019, our young ladies met and served seniors at St. Patrick's Residence in Naperville, IL.

Then COVID-19 struck, and the elders being served were protected so the SALT Programs were cancelled.  SALT has since resumed and is thriving.
